The game of Crap requires the knowledge of just four main issues and these are: the table on which crap is played, various bets that one might make, etiquettes of the game and certain rules of the game and within no time one can become an expert from being a novice at craps.

The crap table needs some familiarization, being a beginner should always remember that the two ends of this table are green in colour, mirror images.  One may place bets at the “come”, “place”, “line”, “odds “or “field” and many different kind of bets. Next to these writings on the table, at the centre are written the words in bold, “hardware”, “any craps” and “any seven”. The game of craps is normally supervised by dealers, stickman and also a boxman.

There are certain rules that a beginner at the table of craps must follow in order to be successful. One must always start with a basic bet at least is to be started at the line of pass bet. Initially the person who holds the dice will start the round of the game by rolling the dice out. The result of this roll out will become the base for the next round and the subsequent game. For example if the result of the roll is a sum total of the digit 11 then it will be considered as a win. The roll which carries the result of 2, 12 and 3 will be termed as Crap. Any number except these three will be called a point.

Bets can be made from various sides of the table. One can have a “come” and “don’t come” bets, which is on the opposite side. Similarly there is the “pass line”, “don’t pass bet”, and multi-roll bets.
